Ottobock.care is seeking a hybrid Verification of Benefits & Prior Authorization Coordinator to support our Pennsylvania and Maryland clinics. The role focuses on accurate and timely prior authorizations and benefits verifications for orthotic and prosthetic patients.

The position combines 2 days in-office with 3 days remote work, delivering excellent patient service and compliant processes. The ideal candidate has medical billing experience, knowledge of HCPCS/ICD-10, HIPAA compliance, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience, preferably orthotics/prosthetics/DMEs.
• Experience with HIPAA regulations and Medicare/insurance carrier websites.
• Proficient in HCPCS and ICD-10 billing codes.

Responsibilities

• Verify and authorize insurance for orthotic/prosthetic devices end-to-end.
• Communicate coverage requirements to patients and team.
• Explain coinsurance and deductibles to patients and collect when possible.
• Create and update patient profiles in the Medical Record system.
• Maintain timely communication with carriers for authorization updates.
