Job summary

PetSmart Vet Health Services seeks a Field-based Veterinary Franchise Sales & Development Leader to drive ownership opportunities with qualified veterinarians. The role involves proactive sourcing, referrals, and consultative conversations to assess goals, financial readiness, and fit, coordinating with internal partners for successful conversions.

The position requires up to 50% travel, field presence across PetSmart locations, and a disciplined approach to pipeline management and CRM usage.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in niche recruiting, sourcing, business or franchise development, healthcare growth, veterinary services, or another specialized sales or recruiting environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive PVS hospital ownership opportunities from outreach through franchise agreement execution, meeting goals for agreements and openings.
• Build and maintain a qualified prospect pipeline through outreach, referrals, professional networks, and research tools; guide prospects through next steps.
• Communicate PVS ownership opportunities clearly, present materials and the Franchise Disclosure Document, and refer complex questions to the appropriate partner.
• Identify and engage prospective veterinary partners at conferences and events; qualify leads and document interactions in CRM.
• Partner across functions to advance candidates, coordinate milestones, and resolve issues affecting agreements or timelines.
• Use pipeline results and market trends to focus activity and improve prospecting and the sales process.
