Job summary

PetSmart Store Support Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced veterinarian to lead a PetSmart Veterinary Services (PVS) hospital onsite. The role offers high autonomy, mentorship, and a potential pathway toward ownership within the franchise model supported by PetSmart.

You will oversee clinical care, staff development, and hospital operations. You will provide preventive, medical, and surgical services for pets, while guiding a team in a retail-based clinic setting and building lasting client

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an accredited school.
• Licensed (in good standing) to practice veterinary medicine in the relevant state.
• Experience in general practice, wellness, or community clinics preferred, with leadership exposure.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive wellness care across life stages with prevention focus.
• Diagnose and treat dogs, cats, and select exotics.
• Perform routine and advanced soft tissue surgeries.
• Deliver dental care including cleanings, radiographs, extractions.
• Create and manage treatment plans using in-house labs/imaging.
• Lead clinical team in daily operations and mentorship.
• Collaborate with business teams on staffing, inventory, and marketing.
