Job summary

Mass General Brigham is hiring a Practice Assistant II for the Vascular Surgery department in Boston. This hybrid, full-time role supports routine clinical operations, schedules patient visits, handles check-in/out, and assists with billing and records in EPIC.

You will greet patients, manage phone inquiries, file documents, and coordinate with the care team to ensure smooth patient flow. Prior office experience and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Experience: Office experience 2-3 years required.
• Proficiency with Office Suite and ability to handle routine and non-routine calls.
• Effective written and verbal communication; ability to convey information clearly.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate patient visits and clinic workflows.
• Greet and assist patients; check-in and check-out duties.
• Answer telephones, route inquiries, and schedule appointments.
• File materials in patient folders and print appointment schedules.
• Process patient billing forms and scan documents to EPIC medical records.
• Coordinate with departments for patient records and test results.
• Open and distribute unit mail or faxes.
• May assist with prior authorizations and billing questions.
