Job summary

SFM Mutual Insurance Company in Bloomington, MN, is seeking a UX Researcher to improve the user experience of our websites, apps, and services. You will design and conduct mixed-methods research and translate findings into actionable insights for designers and developers.

This hybrid role requires onsite presence at our Corporate Headquarter in MN and collaboration with stakeholders. A Bachelor's degree and 2+ years in UX research are preferred, along with strong communication and analytical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in UX research or related field.
• 2+ years of work experience in UX research or related field.
• Experience planning and executing qualitative research using interviews, surveys and usability testing.
• Experience creating UX research deliverables such as journey maps and personas.
• Ability to manage projects with limited oversight as an individual contributor.
• Proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Strong communication skills with customers and stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn business complexities including regulatory aspects.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and conduct user research using quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Analyze data to identify user behaviors, needs, pain points, and improvements.
• Communicate insights and recommendations in personas, journey maps, reports, and presentations.
• Manage the full research process: study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, and documentation.
• Collaborate with UX team members, stakeholders, and developers to advocate for user-centered design.
