Job summary

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) seeks a Unified Communications Engineer to ensure stability and integrity of in-house voice, video, and wireless telecom services. You will participate in installation, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of telecom hardware, software, and communication links.

The role requires 1 year experience with Cisco Unified Communications or Avaya, and familiarity with SIP, H.323, G.711, and T.38. This is a hybrid, on-site position at St.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of IT experience may be accepted in lieu of an Associates degree.
• 1 year experience configuring and supporting Cisco Unified Communications or Avaya Infrastructure preferred.
• 1 year experience troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose issues in large-scale voice implementations preferred.
• 1 year experience with Telecom or Network systems, protocols, and standards such as Ethernet, LAN, WAN, SIP, H.323, G.711, and T.38 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stability and integrity of in-house voice, video, and wireless telecom services.
• Install, monitor, maintain, support, and optimize Telecom hardware, software, and communication links.
• Analyze and resolve Telecom hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.

Education
