Job summary

Zurich NA is seeking an experienced Underwriting Specialist or Executive Underwriter for Financial Institutions in Texas. The role focuses on customer advocacy, risk assessment, and end-to-end solutions within a hybrid work model based out of Austin, Houston, or San Antonio.

Strong communication, relationship-building, and MS Office skills are essential. The position offers a clear path between Specialist and Executive levels, with salary ranges disclosed for each track and bonus eligibility

Qualifications

• Underwriting or market-facing experience (3+ years)
• Experience in claims or underwriting support is a plus
• Knowledge of lines of business and regulatory guidelines
• Time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, partners and customers across industries
• Leverage underwriting acumen for risk assessment, exposure evaluation and pricing to grow a profitable book
• Collaborate with claims, finance, risk engineering, actuary and other units
• Grow and develop relationships with distribution partners in a defined territory
