Job summary

Zurich North America seeks to fill a Market Facing Middle Market Underwriter role in Dallas, TX. You will build broker and customer relationships, apply P&C underwriting acumen, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions for diverse industries.

Two levels are possible: Underwriting Specialist or Executive Underwriter, with compensation tied to role and experience. Hybrid work schedule, salary ranges provided, and Total Rewards benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3+ years of underwriting or market-facing experience OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6+ years in claims or underwriting support OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 1+ years in underwriting or market-facing area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 4+ years in claims or underwriting support, plus knowledge of lines of business and regulatory guidelines
• Knowledge of time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business
• Experience with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with broker partners and customers across industries to support business objectives
• Leverage property & casualty underwriting skills across risk assessment, exposure evaluation and pricing to generate a profitable book of new and renewal business
• Collaborate across claims, finance, risk engineering, actuary, and technical underwriting to gain knowledge in a growing industry
• Grow and develop relationships with preferred distribution partners in an assigned territory
