Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking a Market Facing, Middle Market Underwriter in the Dallas/Addison area. The role focuses on customer advocacy, improving experience, and delivering end-to-end Property & Casualty solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Underwriting or Market Facing area
• 6+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support area
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree with 1+ year in Underwriting or Market Facing area
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree with 4+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support area
• Knowledge of line of business and regulatory guidelines
• Knowledge of time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Experience working on time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business
• Experience working in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with broker partners and customers across all industries.
• Leverage Property and Casualty underwriting acumen across risk assessment, exposure evaluation and pricing.
• Collaborate across business units including claims, finance, risk engineering, actuary, and technical underwriting.
• Grow and develop relationships with preferred distribution partners in an assigned territory.
