Job summary

Zurich North America is expanding its Middle Market Technology P&C underwriting team and seeks an Underwriting Specialist OR Executive Underwriter for Financial Institutions. You will advocate for customers, assess risks, and craft end-to-end solutions for Middle Market FI needs.

The hybrid role is based in Austin, Houston, or San Antonio, TX, and involves building broker and client relationships, collaborating with claims, finance, risk engineering, actuary, and other underwriters to grow a

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience in underwriting or market facing areas.
• Knowledge of P&C and financial institutions insurance.
• Strong MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, partners and customers across industries.
• Leverage underwriting acumen for risk assessment, exposure evaluation and pricing to grow a profitable book.
• Collaborate across claims, finance, risk engineering, actuary and underwriting teams to support customers.
• Grow and develop relationships with preferred distribution partners in an assigned territory.
