USC Marshall School of Business seeks an Academic Advisor to join Undergraduate Advising & Student Affairs. The advisor will provide holistic academic counseling, monitor degree progress, and support students from orientation through graduation.

The role includes advising on curriculum, transfer credit, and petitions, with partnerships across campus. The position emphasizes proactive outreach, collaboration with faculty and campus partners, and adherence to FERPA.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in student affairs, student development, counseling, higher education, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience providing academic advisement to undergraduate students.
• 2+ years of experience with increasing responsibilities working with undergraduates in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic counseling for undergraduate students and advise on curriculum, degree requirements, transfers, and graduation.
• Monitor student progress, maintain records, and assist with petition applications.
• Advise individuals and groups; liaise with faculty, staff, and parents when needed.
• Assist in planning and delivering student programs, events, and advisement policies.
