Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Intermediate Level Structural Tunnel Engineer to work in the Boston or New York Metro Area. This hybrid position requires a Master’s degree, a PE license, and 5-10 years of relevant experience in structural design, particularly for tunnels and underground structures.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of working experience as a structural engineer.
• Previous structural design experience on tunnels and underground structures is an asset.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Works mostly independently with some support from experienced tunnel-structural engineers.
• Maintains effective communications with the engineering team and clients.
• Performs calculations to design excavation support and linings.
