Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group is seeking an entry-level Structural Engineer to contribute to conventional design and design/build projects for water and wastewater clients. You will perform progressively complex structural calculations and analyses, communicate requirements via drawings and models, and build a strong foundation in structural engineering fundamentals under experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) licensure and desire to be on track to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) and Structural Engineer (SE) licensure.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication (written and verbal), problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, OneNote, Teams).
• Must live within commutable distance of the Corvallis office.
• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform progressively complex structural calculations and analyses for design development.
• Communicate requirements through drawings and models with designers.
• Build foundation in structural engineering fundamentals and integration with other disciplines.
• Evaluate structures and prepare plans, calculations, and cost estimates for projects.

Education

Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering

EIT or EI licensure or on track to PE/SE licensure
