AECOM is hosting an exclusive Transportation Planning Intern opportunity in Atlanta, GA. The role offers hands-on experience alongside senior planners and project managers on local, state, and federal transportation projects.

We seek candidates pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Planning or related fields, with interest in public engagement, GIS, and data analysis. This internship runs on a hybrid schedule at our Atlanta office, with mentorship and real project exposure.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 1 year of study completed.
• Graduates pursuing an advanced degree are eligible to apply.
• Familiarity with GIS, data analysis, and public engagement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support transportation planning studies including multimodal and long-range planning.
• Assist with data collection, analysis, and GIS mapping.
• Prepare technical memos, reports, presentations, and graphics.
• Support public engagement activities and attend public meetings in Georgia.
