Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Roadway Engineering Intern in Atlanta, GA to support our transportation engineering team beginning May 2027. This internship offers exposure to design standards, plan sheets, and collaboration with experienced engineers.

You will work with project managers and lead engineers, applying industry standards and gaining CAD experience in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and OpenRoads. The program targets students pursuing Civil Engineering or related fields.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Must have completed one year of study.
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, OpenRoads) preferred.
• Sponsorship for US employment is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Apply industry standards in roadway design.
• Assist in preparing plan sheets, including typical sections, alignments, layouts, and cross sections.
• Participate in team meetings.
• Work with project managers and lead engineers.
