Job summary

AECOM's Birmingham office is seeking a Transportation Planning Intern to support planning and public engagement for transit, rail, roadway and multimodal projects. You’ll work with senior planners, engineers and project managers on local, state and federal client work, gaining hands-on experience in a professional consulting environment.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Planning, Urban/Regional Planning, Civil Engineering, Public Policy, Geography, or a related field.
Must have completed at least 1 year of study; graduates continuing to a Master’s degree are eligible to apply.

Responsibilities

Support transportation planning studies including transit, multimodal, corridor, and long-range planning efforts.
Assist with data collection, analysis, and visualization (demographic data, travel patterns, GIS mapping).
Help prepare technical memoranda, reports, presentations, and graphics.
