Job summary
Apex Engineering Group, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer to join the Transportation Group. The role can be performed from any Apex office or in hybrid mode, with offices in Fargo, Bismarck, Dickinson, Minot, ND and Detroit Lakes, St.
Cloud, Minnetonka, MN. Responsibilities include plan development, design, and construction support on highway projects. You will lead as part of a project team, possibly acting as Project Manager on certain projects, and may perform field representation during
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering required.
- MN or ND Professional Engineer license preferred or ability to be licensed in MN or ND within 6-12 months.
- 5+ years highway/roadway design experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation Connect; AutoCAD / Civil 3D a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional civil engineering services for planning, design, plans, reports, construction observation and project management.
- Delegate and supervise CAD Technicians, Graduate Engineers and Field Technicians on the project team.
- Communicate updates and progress to supervisors and project managers during all phases.
- Attend company, project and client meetings regularly.
