Apex Engineering Group is seeking a Design Engineer to join the Transportation Group. The role supports highway and urban roadway projects from planning through design and construction, with flexible office locations and hybrid work options.

Responsibilities include leading design efforts, preparing plans and specifications, and collaborating with project teams, managers, and clients. The position offers growth toward Project Manager responsibilities and potential field responsibilities during

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• MN or ND PE license preferred or ability to be licensed in MN/ND within 6–12 months.
• 5+ years highway/roadway design experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop highway and urban roadway project plans, specifications and construction documents.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to CAD Technicians and engineers; coordinate with project team.
• Participate in client and project meetings; provide progress updates to management.
