Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University is seeking a Transfer and Dual Enrollment Advisor to join the Transfer Center. The role provides advising, transfer credit evaluations, referrals, and transition support to transfer and dual enrollment students, from pre-admission through graduation, coordinating with other advising units to aid student matriculation at VCU.

The position is hybrid, full-time, with occasional evening/weekend responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience advising college students in a university setting.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and post transfer credits per university policies.
• Advise prospective and current transfer students across multiple channels.
• Coordinate Dual Enrollment Applications, registrations, and onboarding with Admissions and the Registrar.
• Maintain communication with academic departments to relay degree requirements and program details.
