Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University is seeking a Transfer and Dual Enrollment Advisor to join the Transfer Center. The role provides advising, transfer credit evaluation, referrals, and transition support for transfer and dual enrollment students, from pre-admission to graduation, in collaboration with other advising units.

The position emphasizes coordinating the Dual Enrollment program, maintaining partnerships with school divisions and external partners, and supporting ongoing student success

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience advising and/or programming for college students in a university setting.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across units to support student success.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications; data management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and post transfer credits in accordance with university policies.
• Advise transfer and dual enrollment students in person, by phone, and online.
• Coordinate dual enrollment applications, registrations, and onboarding with Admissions and Registrar.
• Provide transition support and referrals to appropriate campus resources.
• Support department initiatives and program development as needed.
