Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Training and Development Manager to lead a team of Training Associates, overseeing onboarding and development for US Commercial field staff across multiple units. The role involves cross‑functional partnership, coaching, and ensuring compliant, high‑quality training in both virtual and in‑person settings.

You will report to the Accelerating Talent Director and collaborate with Training & Development directors and field managers to finalize annual training schedules and drive

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree or higher with pharmaceutical/biotech domain exposure.
• Experience in Learning and Development and training in pharma Field or HQ.
• Strong people leadership, coaching and stakeholder management.
• Experience coordinating large training events and budgets.
• Proven ability to align training programs with business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Training Associates, including setting priorities and managing performance.
• Serve as escalation point for operational, process, technology, and stakeholder issues.
• Monitor onboarding rosters and training participant lists across US Commercial Field.
• Coordinate and monitor attendance of new hires to Concur training and LMS compliance.
• Run reports from LMS, Tableau, and Zoho for training metrics.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to manage priorities and schedules.
• Support live and virtual training events and onsite activities at Amgen HQ.
• Oversee space allocation for live onsite training and assist with inspections/audits.
