Job summary

King County is seeking a Training Coordinator for the Family Ways program to manage training and model fidelity. You will work with a diverse team including Peer Community Specialists, Public Health Nurse, Nutritionists, Social Worker, and Administrative staff to design, coach, and sustain educational content.

You will monitor training needs, develop coaching tools, and ensure culturally relevant materials.

Qualifications

• Two years with a proven track record in designing and developing high-impact educational content in response to program needs.
• Demonstrated expertise in education and behavior-change programs, training and assessment methods.
• Demonstrated experience advancing racial equity and social justice principles linked to social service work.
• Trained in Promoting First Relationships and familiar with culturally-based parenting curricula from one Family Ways focus community.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of educational programs and training for Family Ways staff, participants, community groups, and professionals.
• Monitor program training and educational needs, creating and evaluating broad-based solutions and reporting.
• Develop tools and processes for ongoing coaching, training, and professional development with regular feedback.
• Create and promote culturally appropriate educational materials and information.
• Lead continuous quality improvement activities aligned with program goals and objectives.
• Analyze program data to support access to services and referrals and align processes to outcomes.
• Prepare Family Ways staff to utilize participant-centered, strengths-based practices.
• Discuss difficult topics and present new materials to program staff (health topics, milestones, pregnancy, postpartum).
• Develop and maintain community engagement, expanding partnerships and participation.
• Arrange culturally relevant and linguistically appropriate presentations for specific audiences.
• Build relationships with other King County programs and community organizations to advance equity and social justice.
• Create, maintain, and update a library of training materials.
• Collaborate and share decision making with team members, fostering respectful dialogue.
• Respond to calls and emails in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
