Job summary

Pierce County is seeking a skilled Training Coordinator to support the Learning and Development Team. This hybrid role involves on-site training days, coordinating programs countywide, and providing administrative and technical support for training initiatives.

You will manage schedules, communications, and contractor coordination, while supporting Workday Learning and the county training library. The role emphasizes collaboration, improvisation, and ongoing process improvement.

Qualifications

• Two years of college-level training in education, business administration, industrial hygiene, communications, or a closely related field.
• Two years of progressively responsible experience in planning and implementing training or safety programs.
• Ability to manage training schedules and coordinate with HR Partners and contractors.
• Familiarity with Workday Learning and training administration.

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, administer, and schedule training programs and sessions.
• Coordinate rooms, materials, and communications for training events.
• Support Workday Learning and maintain the countywide training library.
• Track training records and analyze data to improve programs.
• Occasionally facilitate trainings and support Welcoming Workplace efforts.
