Job summary

Pierce County Human Resources in Tacoma seeks a reliable Training Coordinator to support the Learning and Development Team. In this hybrid role you will help deliver coordination and some training for employees across the County, with on-site days for training, coordination, meetings, and events.

You will provide administrative, logistical, and technical support to keep programs running smoothly—management of training schedules, communications, rooms and materials, supporting Workday Learning,

Qualifications

• Two years of college-level training in education, business administration, industrial hygiene, communications, or closely related field of study.
• Two years of progressively responsible experience in planning and implementing training and/or safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, administer, and schedule training programs and sessions.
• Facilitate selected training sessions and support presenters.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Maintain and update the countywide training library.
• Collect and analyze training statistics and data.
• Create presentations utilizing graphs, charts, and spreadsheets.
• Maintain and track training records in the PCLMS database, including certification and expiration dates.
• Support a flexible schedule when needed, including occasional evenings or weekends.
