Job summary

GFT is seeking a Traffic Dispatcher Supervisor for the Regional Traffic Management Center in Nashville, TN. This role requires on-site presence and direct oversight of Traffic Technicians to ensure contract compliance and high-quality service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in traffic operations, strong leadership, and experience with incident management. TDOT coordination and performance reporting are key elements of the position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in traffic operations, transportation management, public safety operations, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily TMC operations and Traffic Technicians.
• Oversee shift activities to meet contract and performance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with TDOT policies, procedures, and reporting.
• Coordinate responses to incidents, weather, and events.
• Review logs, incident reports, and metrics for accuracy.
• Train, mentor, coach, and evaluate staff.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning.
• Coordinate with TDOT management and external stakeholders.
• Lead quality assurance and corrective action plans.
• Support continuity of operations and emergency management.
• Participate in contract meetings and operational reviews.
