Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Tier 1 IT Support Specialist in Mountain View, CA, to join a collaborative IT Helpdesk team. This contract role offers a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite) and hands-on experience with end-user support, identity management, device deployment, and security best practices.

You will be the first point of contact for IT issues, supporting employees via email, chat, and ticketing systems, while logging and resolving requests and assisting with onboarding/offboarding processes and

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of IT Helpdesk or Desktop Support experience or equivalent internship/academic hands-on work.
• Familiar with Windows and/or macOS operating systems and basic networking.
• Experience with ticketing systems and customer communication.
• Understanding of identity management concepts and SSO basics.
• Knowledge of security best practices and end-user security awareness.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for IT-related issues.
• Provide support via email, chat, and ticketing systems.
• Log, categorize, prioritize, and resolve requests.
• Troubleshoot password resets, SSO issues, software install/removal.
• Configure and support laptops and devices for new hires.
• Assist with MFA implementation and troubleshooting.
• Document resolutions and update knowledge base.
• Collaborate with IT, Security, and HR teams.
