Job summary

Invenergy LLC in Chicago, IL is seeking an Assistant Project Manager, Thermal Project Management, to support the Project Manager across a thermal power project lifecycle. You will coordinate teams from development through COD, ensuring timely delivery of technical, economic, and commercial milestones.

The role requires a mechanical/thermal engineering background, strong leadership and verbal skills, and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, electrical or structural engineering required.
• Strong verbal skills and leadership能力 must be demonstrated.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and travel frequency may vary with project phase.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project lifecycle efforts from development to COD under guidance of Project Manager.
• Promote seamless coordination across diverse teams and disciplines.
• Prepare and manage internal administrative workload including MSAs, EPCs, POs and service orders.
• Monitor interfaces between contractors and work packages and track schedule and budget.
• Provide reporting on risks, progress and performance to management.
• Collaborate with procurement on SOIs, RFIs, RFPs, RFQs and contracts.
• Support site layouts, equipment arrangements and optimization with the engineering team.
• Assist in project finance modeling with the commercial finance team.
