Job summary

Invenergy, LLC is seeking a Project Manager for Thermal Project Management in Chicago, IL. The role will guide and coordinate work for a thermal power plant project, interacting with development to COD teams and managing multiple workstreams to support project execution and construction.

The position requires a bachelor’s in engineering, 5+ years of experience in large-scale projects, and familiarity with gas or steam turbines. Limited travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, electrical or structural engineering is required.
• 5+ years of experience in management and construction of large-scale projects.
• Experience with combustion power plants, gas turbines, steam turbines and reciprocating engines is required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills across organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project lifecycle from development to COD.
• Manage workload and resources across multiple workstreams.
• Oversee procurement, contracts, and interfacing with vendors/contractors.
• Prepare and review project budgets and schedules.
• Develop site layouts with engineering teams and optimize arrangements.
• Monitor progress and report risks to management.

Education

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, electrical or structural engineering
