Job summary

Invenergy seeks a Manager, Thermal Electrical Engineering to lead a team of engineers responsible for electrical design, procurement support, and construction/commissioning of thermal generation projects. You will oversee turbine-generator systems, switchyards, and HV interconnections, coordinating with EPCs and OEMs.

The role emphasizes managing resources, ensuring quality and schedule adherence, and implementing best practices across projects.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of power systems, coursework, or relevant experience.
• 6+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience managing engineers or multi-disciplinary teams.
• HV/MV electrical infrastructure experience (substations, switchyards).
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of engineers for electrical design, procurement support, and construction/commissioning.
• Manage daily team activities, priorities, and performance reviews.
• Ensure quality, schedule, and cost objectives for electrical deliverables.
• Support strategic planning and resource planning for the Thermal Electrical Engineering team.
• Develop and maintain standard designs and templates for electrical engineering.
• Coordinate with OEMs, EPC partners, and utilities on interfaces.
• Oversee design reviews, studies, and deliverables for switchyards and interconnections.
• Support project close-out with turnover of as-built documentation.
• Maintain knowledge of industry standards and training.
