Job summary

Murata, a global leader in electronic materials and components, is seeking a Sales Manager based in Irvine, CA. The role supports regional leadership, developing plans to meet corporate direction and ensuring effective sales coverage across the territory.

You will negotiate contracts, manage relationships with customers and reps, and provide market feedback to inform business development and product priorities. Occasional travel and a leadership mindset are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, engineering, or business administration.
• Minimum 6+ years of directly related work experience.
• Advanced negotiation and communication skills with experience in high-level electronic component sales contracts.
• Advanced knowledge of the electronic component industry; basic accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
• Strong presentation and leadership abilities to manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage all local Murata customers within the territory.
• Lead negotiations and manage contracts, NDAs, pricing, and related accords.
• Provide feedback to Business Development, Product Marketing, and OSAs from customers, distributors, and reps.
• Develop forecasts for POS and OEMs and report major market shifts monthly.
• Coordinate GAM/KAM/SE activities and support Area Sales Director/Manager.
• Travel domestically (and some international) as required.
