Job summary

TileBar, a rapidly growing tile and flooring design and distribution company, is seeking an Accounting Associate – Temp in New York, NY. The role supports both accounts payable and receivable with daily tasks, with potential for broader responsibilities.

The position is located at Flatiron HQ with a 3 days onsite, 2 days remote schedule. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in AP/AR and strong Excel skills, aiming to support audit data requests and financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of accounts payable or accounts receivable experience in a medium to large company.
• Excellent communication skills to keep the team informed of issues and work status.
• Detail oriented, able to multitask, and able to complete work on time.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and XLOOKUP.
• Experience with ERP or accounting software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Enter ACH payments for payables.
• Open accounting mail and distribute it to the respective teams.
• Process invoice and expense data.
• Complete lien waivers received from customers.
• Deposit customer checks and apply payments.
• Post sales daily.
• Assist with audit data requests, including pulling invoices.
• Assist the Controller with ad hoc analysis and data gathering to resolve issues.
