Job summary

GEA Group in Oakdale, MN is hiring a Technical Sales Support Engineer to back aftermarket opportunities in spray drying, powder handling, and related systems. The role collaborates closely with Service Sales Managers, Project Managers, Engineering, and Centers of Competence to craft customer-focused solutions that improve plant performance and reliability.

The candidate will support spare parts, repairs, field service, modernization projects, SLAs, and equipment upgrades across industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Business or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years in Sales/Sales Support preferred.
• Willing to travel ~10% of time.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide Technical Sales Support: identify part numbers, offer Level 1 technical assistance, and prepare service quotations.
• Collaborate with Service Sales Account Manager, Customer Sales Representatives, and Project Managers to deliver timely spare parts quotes and tailored service solutions.
• Promote the service product portfolio to external customers and internal teams.
• Build trusting relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders.
• Travel to client sites for sales support/evaluation as needed.
• Prepare proposals for service projects and SLAs, and support contract negotiations.
