Job summary

Bank of New York (BNY) is seeking a Mid-Level Technical Recruiter to support high-volume software engineering hiring. This role owns the full recruiting lifecycle from intake to offer, partnering with managers and leaders in a fast-paced enterprise.

The position is hybrid in Pittsburgh, PA or NYC, requiring four days onsite weekly. You will use Boolean search, data-mining, and direct sourcing to identify top technical talent, build pipelines, coordinate interviews, and maintain accurate

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience and ownership of requisitions from intake through offer stage.
• Experience recruiting for Software Engineering and/or Technology roles.
• Strong sourcing experience using Boolean search, keyword search, and data-mining techniques.
• Experience with resume screening and candidate evaluation.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Full‑Cycle Recruiting: Manage the recruiting lifecycle from intake meetings through offer negotiation and onboarding coordination.
• Direct Sourcing: Utilize Boolean searches, keyword strategies, and data‑mining techniques to identify top technical talent.
• Stakeholder Partnership: Partner closely with hiring managers and business leaders to understand hiring needs and market dynamics.
• Candidate Management: Conduct resume screening, candidate qualification, interview coordination, and offer discussions.
• Pipeline Development: Build and maintain active talent pipelines for software engineering and technology‑focused roles.
• Reporting & Organization: Track recruiting activity, manage multiple requisitions simultaneously, and maintain accurate documentation.
