Job summary

Actalent in Grandview, MO is hiring a Product Specialist to own the technical and operational aspects of assigned product lines. You will craft accurate quotes, ensure pricing validity, and support regional sales with expert product guidance.

The role is hybrid with in-office work 4 days per week and remote 1 day. A engineering background plus 2–3 years in product support or technical sales is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent plus relevant experience.
• 2-3 years of experience in product support, technical sales, or related role.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate quotes based on client specs and project requirements, collaborating with Client Operations Specialist.
• Own quote accuracy for specifications, scope, and project requirements, including CRM entry and quote issuance.
• Conduct technical risk and feasibility reviews with sign-off before pricing.
• Analyze historical pricing and product performance for insights to Regional Sales Managers.
• Support and enforce product standardization across the portfolio.
• Maintain product matrices, sheets, and sizing guidelines; escalate discrepancies as needed.
• Serve as go-to expert for technical specs and product configuration.
• Collaborate to build use cases and demo assets for internal teams.
• Field technical product questions from sales teams and clients with strategic recommendations.
• Conduct daily SDA reviews within DoA thresholds or escalate.
• Ensure transactional controls on quotes and product changes; flag operational risks.
• Liaise between Regional Sales Managers, plants, and Operations on product matters.
• Oversee the technical side of every quote including configuration and feasibility.
