Qualifications

• Education: Paralegal certificate or degree or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of commercial, technology, and vendor contracts.
• Ability to negotiate and redline agreements against playbook positions, escalate when needed.
• Ability to draft bespoke agreements when templates do not fit.
• Ability to advise on contract risk clearly and practically.
• Maintain templates, playbooks, and contract standards; apply regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate MSAs, NDAs, and DPAs with vendors and counsel, applying Wiley playbooks.
• Draft and negotiate bespoke agreements: partnerships, speaker, venue, and licenses.
• Advise Global Sourcing and business on contract questions and strategy.
• Review supplier registration in Ariba related to risk.
• Maintain MSA Playbook, templates, and Independent Contractor Agreements; apply new regulations.
• Escalate blockers to Legal leadership and assist with disputes.
• Train colleagues on contracting processes and negotiations.
• Develop and use AI-assisted tools to support contract review.
• Support other Legal teams and partners with negotiations and language review.
