Job summary

Reece USA is seeking a Tax Manager to lead indirect tax and compliance, including sales and use tax, property tax, and licensing. The role collaborates with Accounting, IT, Legal, and business teams to ensure accurate filings, robust records, and strong controls.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in indirect tax, strong Excel skills, and experience with Avalara and ERP systems. This hybrid role balances office and remote work in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field required.
• 5+ years of relevant tax experience; corporate indirect tax experience is preferred.
• Experience with multi-state sales and use tax compliance is preferred; exposure to property tax and business licensing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns; coordinate data for external service providers.
• Maintain tax configurations and rules within ERP and sales tax systems (Avalara); monitor accuracy of tax calculation, collection, and reporting.
• Research product taxability and jurisdictional requirements; review exemption certificates and respond to indirect tax questions.
• Assist with tax accruals, reconciliations, audits, notices, and voluntary disclosures by gathering support and coordinating responses.
• Support property tax compliance by coordinating renditions, reviewing assessments, facilitating payments, and assisting with protests.
