Mare Island Brewing Co. Coal Shed Brewery Taproom is hiring for a Bartender/Shift Lead. This hybrid role blends bartending and shift-lead duties in the Vallejo taproom, with part-time hours and an hourly wage plus pooled tip share.

Responsibilities include guest service, order taking via Toast, beer service, and maintaining a clean, welcoming space. The role also covers opening/closing tasks and occasional events support.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• California RBS certification within 60 days.
• California Food Handler Card within 30 days.
• Able to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays availability.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately via the POS system (Toast).
• Pour and serve beer, wine, and other beverages to standard.
• Present items to guests in a timely, professional manner.
• Maintain bar and dining area cleanliness and organization.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and side work as needed.
• Support events, including setup, breakdown, and logistics.
