Job summary

Oregon Department of Energy seeks a Systems Administrator to design, implement, and maintain server systems and domain architecture. The role supports the Information Services division with security, maintenance, and IT operations for a hybrid work arrangement at the Salem site.

The candidate will bring significant experience in IT project management, requirements gathering, and data management, along with Windows Server administration, PowerShell automation, and M365 proficiency.

Qualifications

• Six years of information systems experience in IT project management, requirements gathering, and data management.
• An Associate's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, or a two-year vocational program with four years of related experience; OR a Bachelor's in IT/CS with two years of experience.
• A Master’s degree may substitute for all listed requirements.
• Experience with Windows Server administration, PowerShell automation, and M365 is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement systems and solutions to support the department's operations.
• Provide server systems and domain design, configuration, administration, ongoing maintenance, and security.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and collaborate with other IT functions as needed.
• Work on hybrid remote arrangements from the central Salem workplace.
