Mayo Clinic is seeking a Surgical Coder II Float Coder to review, analyze, and code professional medical records across Cardiovascular, Cath Lab, Plastic, and Orthopedic specialties. The role supports a hybrid work model and requires close collaboration with surgeons to ensure code accuracy.

Candidates should hold RHIA/RHIT/CCS-P or CPC credentials or equivalent, with 6 years (HS) or 4 years (Assoc/Bach) of coding experience. On-site duties within 100 miles of Mayo campuses may apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with 6 years of physician coding experience.
• Associate's Degree with 4 years of coding experience.
• Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of coding experience.
• RHIA/RHIT/CCS-P or CPC credential required.
• Knowledge of NCCI, NCD, LCD, and outpatient coding guidelines.
• Ability to work independently in a teleworking environment and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and code professional/physician medical record documentation.
• Collaborate with surgeons to ensure the accuracy of the code sets.
• This is a hybrid role and must be located within 100 miles of Mayo Clinic campuses for on-site expectations.
