Mayo Clinic in Minnesota seeks a Revenue Cycle supervisor with deep CPT-4 and ICD-10 coding expertise to lead coding staff and drive efficiency. This hybrid role requires proximity to Mayo Clinic campuses for occasional on-site work and involves collaboration across departments.

The role emphasizes strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology, physician interaction, and experience with Finance systems. On-site travel may be required, and the position is exempt.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 9 years relevant CPT-4 surgical coding and/or ICD-10 diagnosis and procedure coding for outpatient and/or inpatient and/or MS-DRG assignment coding experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years relevant CPT-4 surgical coding and/or ICD-10 diagnosis and procedure coding for outpatient and/or inpatient and/or MS-DRG assignment coding experience; master’s degree preferred.
• Requires an excellent understanding of CPT-4 surgical coding and/or ICD-10 diagnosis and/or procedure coding and/or MS-DRG assignment.
• Requires an excellent understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology and disease processes.
• Experience with direct physician interaction required. Knowledge of and experience with Finance systems and applications required.

Responsabilités

• Supervises and directs professional and support staff for the Revenue Cycle ensuring effective use of employees, equipment & materials within budget & quality standards.
• Implements tactical planning and carries out strategic plan; ensures staff has resources to carry out their responsibilities.
• Participates in the overall management of Revenue Cycle teams through involvement in Enterprise-wide projects, work groups, task forces, councils, and committees.
• Acts as coding subject matter expert for coding staff, management, and other sections; maintains expert knowledge of coding workflow and optimizes use of available technology.
