Job summary

University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a full-time Surgery Scheduler to join their team at Vascular Surgery.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8-4:30. Location: UPMC Presbyterian. This position offers a hybrid schedule with 1-2 work-from-home days per week.

Responsibilities include coordinating admissions and pre- / post-operative instructions, communicating with hospital staff, and ensuring patient data and billing information are accurate.

Qualifications

• Experience scheduling in a clinical/surgical setting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with patient data and insurance information.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor patient follow-up through the system.
• Prepare and forward admission reservations and demographics/insurance information to hospitals.
• Coordinate cases and obtain hospital approval for admissions.
• Discuss and coordinate financial arrangements prior to surgery, including pre-payments.
