In a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center, you’ll collaborate with surgeons, clinical teams, and staff, maintain accurate records in EPIC, and deliver exceptional customer service from scheduling through discharge.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule outpatient surgical procedures, pre-operative testing, and post-operative appointments.
• Guide patients through the surgical process, providing education, instructions, and exceptional customer service.
• Verify insurance coverage, obtain pre-certifications, and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, clinical teams, hospitals, and administrative departments to ensure smooth surgical coordination.
• Welcome and check in patients on the day of surgery while facilitating efficient patient flow.
• Serve as a compassionate point of contact for patients and families before, during, and after surgery.
• Maintain accurate patient records, insurance information, and surgical tracking data within EPIC and internal systems.
• Coordinate hospital admissions, reservations, and procedural requirements.
• Support department operations, physician education events, research initiatives, and special projects.
• Act as a trusted liaison between physicians, patients, families, and healthcare teams
