Uponor in Lakeville, MN offers a hybrid Supplier Development Engineer role partnering with Supply Chain to drive supplier performance and quality improvements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead NNPD supplier input, and implement metrics to achieve cost and delivery targets.

Ideal candidates have a engineering or supply chain background, 0–3 years experience, and knowledge of PPAP and 8D processes. Domestic/international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain.
• 0 to 3 years experience.
• Experience in machining and/or injection molding preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams.
• Exposure to PPAP; 8D; Cpk/Ppk quality tools.
• Decision making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with stakeholders.
• Experience with supplier auditing, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsabilités

• Actively manage and monitor supplier performance and COPQ of new/existing suppliers.
• Implement, monitor and report metrics related to supplier development and quality.
• Align supplier strategies with cross-functional teams to drive actions.
• Lead NPD-related supplier input ensuring manufacturability per Uponor requirements.
• Assess new/prospective suppliers to support business needs.
• Conduct supplier onboarding/training and monitor performance.
• Participate in major SCARs and quality investigations.
• Collaborate with suppliers to identify improvements for quality, cost, and delivery.
