Job summary

Talcott Financial Group offers a Summer Internship Program designed to immerse students in real-world challenges. This ten-week program provides hands-on learning, workshops, peer networking, and direct exposure to senior leadership to support personal and professional development.

Interns will engage in risk-based audit procedures, gain business experience, and sharpen analytical and leadership skills. The selected Internal Audit Intern will work on a hybrid schedule in our Hartford, CT office.

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Risk, Finance, Math, Accounting, Insurance, and/or Economics.
• GPA 3.4 or better preferred.
• Prior internship experience preferred.
• Innovative and collaborative problem solver.
• Independent judgment with strong analytical and risk assessment skills.
• Ability to partner with other functional areas such as Finance, IT, Actuarial, and Operations.
• Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel, including formulas and functions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proactive individual and quick learner.

Responsibilities

• Support risk-based audit procedures and assess internal controls.
• Work on a project assigned at internship linked to department priorities.
• Present final project to our team at the end of the internship.
• Gain exposure to senior leadership during the program.
