Job summary

MetLife is offering a part-time Internal Audit internship for students, focusing on technology risk, data analytics, and business operations. You will work with audit professionals across Technology, Finance, and U.S. Business, gaining hands-on experience in IT controls and assurance.

Location is hybrid with a schedule of approximately 20 hours per week, starting October 2026 through May 2027. The role includes collaboration, learning opportunities, and exposure to audits, testing, and reporting

Qualifications

• Current Bachelor's student in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Risk Management, or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong organization and time management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Support audits of business, financial, operational, and technology processes to assess compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Perform audit testing, analyze results, and document findings using data analytics and audit methodologies.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings, process walkthroughs, and information-gathering activities to evaluate controls and risks.
• Assist with preparing audit observations, reports, and recommendations for management.
• Evaluate technology controls and risks across access management, change management, data protection, cybersecurity, and operational resilience.
• Review technology documentation and evidence, support project delivery within deadlines, and maintain relationships with audit teams and business partners.
