Job summary

Talcott Financial Group invites rising juniors and seniors to join its Risk Internship in Hartford, CT. The ten-week program blends hands-on ERM projects with training on market dynamics and industry fundamentals, plus workshops and networking to support professional growth.

Interns work on risk governance, financial risk oversight, or operational risk Oversight, with guidance from senior leaders and a final project presentation to the team.

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Math, Accounting, Insurance or Economics
• GPA of 3.4 or better preferred
• Prior internship experience is preferred
• Innovative and collaborative problem solver with strong analytical and risk assessment skills
• Ability to partner with Finance, IT, Actuarial, and Operations
• Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel, including formulas and functions
• General coding language experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist ERM team with projects and risk reporting
• Participate in workshops and leadership sessions
• Present project outcomes to the team at internship end
• Gain exposure to governance and reporting functions within ERM
