Job summary

iLEAD California is seeking a Long Term Sub Educational Facilitator for the Exploration program, hybrid schedule, reporting to the School Director. The role involves classroom management, planning and implementing activities that balance growth and safety.

You will implement project-based learning, provide individualized instruction, and use technology to enhance learning. A Bachelor’s degree and teaching credential or substitute credential are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Credential in teaching or substitute teaching.
• Proficient in maintaining efficient classroom management skills.
• Experience with an education setting and/or non-traditional, flexible, open-minded, and collaborative.
• Ability to problem solve and multi-task.
• Ability to cooperate successfully as a member of a team.
• Demonstrated capability to maintain effective relationships in a team oriented environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Follow the facilitator’s plans or alert the administrator if there are no plans to follow.
• Check supplies in the classroom to carry out lesson plans.
• Maintain classroom routines and discipline procedures.
• Teach all subjects according to curriculum requirements.
• Use a broad range of instructional strategies and Project-based Learning.
• Provide individualized and small group instruction.
• Establish outstanding classroom management.
• Maintain attendance records and progress notes as requested.
• Incorporate technology as a learning tool.
• Maintain standards-based or performance-based grading where applicable.
• Perform other responsibilities as defined by the supervisor.
