Job summary

iLEAD California is seeking a Classified Substitute for the Lancaster campus as part of the iLEAD Flex program. This part-time position supports instructional staff by reinforcing lessons, tutoring students, and assisting with learning activities.

You will help supervise students, reinforce social-emotional learning, prepare learning materials, and assist with assessments. Strong communication, reliability, and the ability to travel between classrooms are valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Exceptional public speaking skills.
• High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness.
• Thrive in a collaborative, team-based and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructional personnel with the presentation of learning materials and in the presentation of instructional lessons.
• Tutor individual students and small groups of students to reinforce and follow up learning activities, as directed by the teacher or Principal.
• Monitor and assist students in learning activities as a follow up to the presentation of instructional concepts by instructional personnel.
• Direct and supervise students in safe learning activities, and assist in the shaping of appropriate social emotional behaviors.
• Reinforce the social emotional curriculum and instruction.
• Prepare and assist in the preparation of a variety of instructional materials for use with individuals, or small groups of students or in a learning center.
