Job summary

CLP Engineering seeks a Maintenance Engineer II to join the Engineering Maintenance Team, delivering technical expertise in distribution and substation equipment while supporting grid reliability and safety.

You will develop maintenance plans, analyze performance data, and collaborate with stakeholders on strategic initiatives and KPI reporting. A strong background in electrical power systems and field experience is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with power-systems emphasis (required).
2+ years of experience testing and maintaining electrical power equipment in the utility industry.
Familiar with transmission/sub-transmission systems, substations, and power distribution.
Familiar with system record documentation (O&M manuals, blueprints, as-builts).

Responsibilities

Maintain knowledge of utility power distribution systems maintenance principles and standards.
Develop and revise maintenance and testing standards for substations and distribution systems.
Implement preventative maintenance programs (RCM) and follow manufacturer recommendations.
Plan and perform routine testing and maintenance of electrical apparatus in substations and distribution systems.
Collaborate on asset recordkeeping database to capture test reports, inspections, and performance data.
Analyze test data to propose cost-effective maintenance or replacement plans.
Prepare technical reports, KPI presentations, and recommendations for stakeholders.
Conduct outage analyses and support resolution of high-impact outages.
