Job summary

CLP Engineering, a high-growth electric utility solutions firm, seeks a Project Engineer to lead planning, design, and technical execution of electrical power system upgrade projects, including substations, transmission and distribution, microgrids, and SCADA systems. Working closely with Project Managers and senior engineers, you will develop deliverables, coordinate activities, and ensure safety, schedule, and budget.

This hybrid role supports the modernization of the national grid.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (required).
5+ years in electrical power system project engineering.
Experience with substation and/or distribution design and upgrade projects.
Familiarity with ETAP, SKM, or similar power system analysis tools.
Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering and design of substation, distribution, microgrid, and SCADA projects.
Prepare engineering deliverables: single-line diagrams, schematics, layouts, grounding, protection, BOMs.
Support power system studies: load flow, short circuits, coordination, arc flash analysis.
Support all phases of project execution: planning through commissioning, scope and schedule coordination, cost input, deliverables tracking.
Manage RFIs, submittals, design changes, and field modifications; provide construction support.
Site visits, field walkdowns, QA/QC, commissioning support for substations, distribution, SCADA, and microgrid assets.
